Welcome to St. John's, Waupoos

Mission Statement

St. John's Church, Waupoos is a fellowship dedicated to worshipping God and to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, loving and caring for one another and reaching out to our neighbours in the community and around the world.

Our Church Community

St. John's is a beautiful little church set among orchards and vineyards with a wonderful view of Prince Edward Bay. The original St. John’s Church was built in 1837 on a parcel of land donated by Conrad David. The present church was built on the same site and opened for service on December 13, 1877.

The Rev. Ada Clifton

Incumbent of the Anglican Churches of St. Andrew's Wellington, St. Philip's Milford and St. John's Waupoos

Originally from Montreal Quebec, my undergraduate study is in recreation therapy with graduate work in education.

In 2009, God lead me on a new path, from working in administration at Concordia University, to moving and returning to school full-time at Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto, where I received my Master of Divinity.

I have lived in the Quinte area since 2012, served in chaplaincy at Kingston General Hospital and also served as a priest in the Anglican Churches of Quinte West.

I’m pleased to be joining the strong ministry teams at the three churches of Marysburgh and Kente here in the County, I am excited for the future and feel richly blessed to be here with you!
