The Church Family:
After Sunday worship most of the congregation shares coffee in the church hall with lots of conversation. This is a congregation that truly cares for and enjoys its members. We are mostly an older group, but the character of those regularly attending is disparate, having experienced a gradual shift that now includes older members who have 'moved to town', urban retirees, and seasonal and part-time residents. One of the strengths of St. John's has been the acceptance of newer members by those who have attended and supported the church for most of their lives. We enjoy each other as individuals and deeply value the opportunity to worship together. Those born in the County have helped us to maintain many of the traditions of the past and to keep the church connected to the community. Newer parishioners have become increasingly involved in contributing their time and talents to the church and to the community which surrounds the church. In the last few years we have worked closely together to make a number of improveents in the beauty and practicality of our church. All of this work has been done while keeping our church debt free.
